ClearLedger ("we", "our", "us") is operated at clearledger.co.in. By using our platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. What We Collect

We collect files you upload (Excel, CSV, PDF) solely to process and clean your data. We also collect basic account information (email) if you sign up via Google, and usage data such as browser type and IP address for security and performance purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only to provide our services — data cleaning, GST/PAN validation, payslip generation, bank reconciliation, and Tally/Zoho export. We do not sell, share, or use your financial data for any other purpose including AI training. We do not show advertisements.

4. File Deletion

All uploaded files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 48 hours of upload. You can also delete individual files immediately at any time from within the platform, or contact us at support@clearledger.co.in.

5. File Storage Security

Your uploaded files are stored in private, encrypted cloud storage (Supabase). Files are never publicly accessible via direct URL. Only you can access your own files — no other user can view, download, or access your data. All file transfers happen over HTTPS.

6. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your files. However, no online platform can guarantee 100% security. Avoid uploading highly confidential information unless necessary.

7. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase for cloud storage and authentication, and Google OAuth for login. These are trusted infrastructure providers used solely to operate the service. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

8. Cookies & Session Data

We use essential cookies and browser storage required for login sessions and authentication (via Google OAuth and Supabase). These are strictly necessary for the platform to function and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not currently use third-party analytics or marketing cookies.

9. Account Data Retention

Your uploaded files are deleted within 48 hours as described above. Your account information (such as your email address) is retained for as long as your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete Account" option available within the platform (under your profile menu). This action is immediate and irreversible. Alternatively, you may contact us at support@clearledger.co.in to request account deletion.

10. Children's Privacy

ClearLedger is intended for business, accounting, and professional use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has used the platform, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11. Accuracy Disclaimer

Generated outputs such as GST validation, reconciliation results, payslips, and exports may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. Users must independently verify all generated results before using them for legal, tax, accounting, or business decisions.

12. Limitation of Liability

ClearLedger is not liable for incorrect calculations, reconciliation errors, OCR mistakes, financial losses, tax filing mistakes, compliance issues, or any direct or indirect damages arising from use of the platform. All services are provided on an "as is" basis.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

14. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated data instantly using the "Delete Account" option within the platform, or request deletion, correction, or access to your data at any time by contacting us at support@clearledger.co.in. Requests made via email are processed within 90 days.
